Dear Ron,
I just wanted to write and let you know how
much prayer frog has meant to us. My mom
was dying from cancer and in the hospital. I
took her a wish frog and put it on her night
table. She noticed right away that his hands
were folded in prayer. She picked him up
and held it in her hands and pulled it to her
heart. She made a prayer and then handed
him back to me. When I asked her what she
prayed for she said her prayer had already
come true and she was now passing it on to
me. My mom left this world later that night.
Prayer Frog now sits on my night table beside
my bed and I hold him every night. Together
we pass on our prayers for others just as my
mom did for me.
Yours truly,
Marcia Peterson
Hi, Ron,
I was recently searching the web for gifts and
came across your Prayer Frogs. I have been
trying to come up with a gift I could send to a
high school friend of mine that recently lost
her four year old son after a brief illness.
There are no words to describe the pain she
must be feeling nor is there anything I could
send her that could take away that pain. I
am hoping this little frog will be a symbol of a
little boys short life and a daily reminder to
Fully Rely On God which is what she has
said has been the only thing that has kept her
going.
I am purchasing extra frogs to set in my kid's
rooms to remind them that they can talk to
God anytime they need to.
Thank you for sharing and promoting the
power of prayer.
Sincerely,
Beth Fox
Hello Ron,
Your creation of the Prayer Frogs are a perfect
reminder to my family, friends, and myself of the
importance of prayer in times of need. I know that
prayers of thanksgiving are important as well, but
unfortunately we don't think of them as often. It is a
very frightening time for us now. My niece, Nicki,
twenty-four years old, has been battling with
leukemia for the past three months. Her suffering has
been immense, and our entire family is in turmoil. I
pray that we all remember to call upon the Lord to
help her feel his presence and strengthen her body,
and to believe in his powers and mercy. May she
find healing as she struggles with this ugly disease and
be made whole once again. I also pray that all family
and friends sense God's love, and become strong in
supporting Nicki and each other.
Thank you, Ron, for your creation which is becoming
a source for us to remember the love of Our Lord.
Sincerely,
Mary Hancur
Ron,
My niece Amy has a huge collection of
frogs so when I came across your site I
ordered a green standing and a red sitting
one for her birthday. She turned six on
May 4th. She put the standing frog on her
shelf and carries the other around in her
new purse. She is so cute. She holds him
out at arms length and asks everyone to
kiss her frog and make a wish. I always
wish for the same thing, a little sugar and
my wish is always granted when Amy gives
me a kiss on the cheek.
Thanks
Roger Beck
Ron,
I ordered ten of the squatting prayer frogs for my
Sunday school class for an object lesson. I love the
praying hands. The kids love them, even the boys.
I told them that FROG stands for Fully Rely On
God and that they should keep the frogs with them
to remind them of this. Each Sunday, the kids
come in and show me they still have their frogs.
We start each class telling how we relied on God
this week. I am ordering some more to give out to
our new members and the Pastor even wants to
know where he can get some. They are a great
ministry tool.
IHT,
Margie
Ron,
I was given my wish frog on the golf course
by a friend. He said with my swing, I needed
him. We were playing a pretty heavily treed
course in Monterey, California and I had not
been playing very well, not that I ever do,
when we stepped up to the sixth hole. A
short par three that I never do well on. I
thought this was a good a time as any to test
my new frog, so I rubbed him and gave him a
kiss and then rubbed him on the face of the
club. Then I swung and shanked the ball
dead right into the woods. Before I could
even think of how the frog had let me down,
we heard a "thunk, thunk, thunk" and the ball
magically jumped out of the woods and on to
the green. I wish I could say I made the
birdy putt, but I did get a triple barky par. I
now rub my wish frog on every shot and
even use him as a ball marker on the green. I
am ordering a few more today for my golfing
buddies who think I have an unfair advantage.
Best Wishes,
Bob Jacobs
FROGGIE By Ron Berry
Deep in the marshlands of the misty old bog,
just past the willow in the hollowed out log,
There lives a young fella who's tiny and green,
the cutest little frog you ever have seen.
He is tiny and green and his toes are all sticky.
This helps him to cling to things that are tricky.
One day Froggie was out and about
when he heard a lot of flapping and then a loud shout.
He hopped and he climbed to the top of the reeds,
there he saw a young egret stuck up to his knees.
Hello. I'm Froggie. Are you OK?
"Nope!" Said the egret. I'm Lanky and I'm sinking and very afraid.
I was trying fly but fell here with a thud.
Now I'm stuck to my knees in this yucky old mud.
Could you please help me out. I can't last much longer."
"You can't mean me. You need someone much stronger." replied Froggie
"Please do something, you're my only hope." pleaded Lanky.
"I know what I'll do. I'll get you a rope." said Froggie.
So Froggie leaped from the reed and hopped to the house
of his very good friend, Molly the mouse.
"Molly, Molly you must come quick." called Froggie
"Why?" Molly asked, "Is somebody sick?"
"No, but an egret's in really big trouble
and I need you and a rope, now on the double." commanded Froggie.
So as fast as they could, they ran all the way,
when they got back, Lanky had sunk up to half way.
"Hurry, oh hurry, I'm down to my belly,
and Oooooo this mud's cold, yucky and smelly." whined Lanky.
They tied the rope around Lanky's head
then pulled and tugged till their faces turned red.
"It's no use. He hasn't budged at all.
We're not strong enough. We're just too small." sighed Molly
"There must be something else we can try." Lanky said as he started to cry.
"I didn't mean to get stuck. I just wanted to fly."
"Don't worry, Lanky, we'll get you out.
There must be something we haven't thought about." said Molly
"My parents would say it's time to pray.
Rely on God to save the day." said Froggie
"That's a great idea, but what do we do?
I've never prayed before, how about you?" asked Molly
"Nope, not me." Lanky said
as he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head.
"It's very easy, not hard to do.
It's like talking to a friend right next to you." explained Froggie.
"But what if I don't know what to say?
Will I still be able to pray?" asked Lanky
"When praying to God, you'll always find,
He knows the stuff that's on your mind.
He knows the worries deep in your heart
and He helps you with the hurting part.
And someone else can pray for you,
if you want and ask them to." said Froggie
"Will you pray for me little frog
and ask God to help me out of this bog?" asked Lanky
"God, this is Froggie. Please help Lanky. He's in an awful way
or else he won't make it through the rest of the day." prayed Froggie
"It didn't work! I'm still sinking.
You have to pray louder. That's what I'm thinking." cried Lanky
"He's up to his neck, his eyes full of fright.
Come on, Molly. Pull! Pull with all of your might." shouted Froggie
They pulled and they pulled hard on the rope
but Lanky kept sinking and losing all hope.
"We've done all we can, we'll just have to rely
On God to save Lanky so he can learn how to fly." said Froggie
Then from the bushes, Mr. Bunny hopped out.
"What's all the noise and fussing about?" asked Mr. Bunny
"Mr. Bunny! Grab hold of the rope and pull on the line.
Don't worry, Lanky. Now everything will be fine." said Froggie
So they pulled and pulled as hard as they could,
until they heard Lanky say,"OK, that's good, that's good."
"What's that you have tied to this string?
Sure is a goofy funny looking thing." asked Mr. Bunny
"That's Lanky, an egret. He's been stuck in the mud.
Now it's time for bath and a good soak in the tub." replied Molly
"Thank you my friends, you saved me today.
You even taught me how to pray.
There must be something I can do for you?
Just tell me what you want me to do." asked Lanky
Froggie and Molly thought for a moment then said in a wise crack,
"When you learn to fly, maybe we can ride on your back."
So some time later when Lanky was grown,
together they flew to adventures unknown.
Ron,
I purchased a blue pocket wish frog and I
just love him. I take him with me
everywhere I go. Last month, I took him to
my bridge club and put him on the table all
night long and when I was the dummy I put
him right on top of the cards. Needless to
say, my partner and I took nearly every
trick. The club is meeting at my house next
month so I am ordering seven more of
assorted colors to give out as favors and
thereby even the playing field.
Sincerely,
Delores
Many generations ago, a loving young couple was out for a late night summer walk under the full moon. They came to a well and stopped for a cool drink. The young man tried to sneak a kiss but lost his balance and they both fell into the well. The sides of the well were slippery and steep. There was no way to climb out. They yelled for help but no one came. The young man reached into his pocket and pulled out some coins. He thought if he threw the money out of the well, someone might see it and come to their rescue. Days passed and no one came. Finally, the young man reached into his pocket and pulled out his last coin. He threw it up as he made a desperate wish, "Please, help us out. We don't want to die." The coin went straight up and then straight back down into the well. As it splashed, the young couple was transformed into a pair of frogs. Thus the wish was granted and they were saved. As frogs, they could live hoppily ever after in the well. The Wish Frogs you see on this page are the offspring of this couple and thus have the power to grant your wishes. However, be careful what you wish for, it might just come true, but not in the way that you might expect.
